Information Package for Third Culture Kids

BRIEF
Third Culture Kids (TCKs) are kids who have grown up in multiple countries and therefore have accumulated elements of various cultures into what is known as a ‘third culture’. Frequent international moves often creates confused identites for the TCK as they constantly search for belonging. The problem is not enough people know about TCKs, even TCKs themselves.

SOLUTION
Create a welcome package that informs and helps to prevent long-term problems that may develop as a result of moving countries. A workbook for young TCKs explains the TCK culture on an emotive level they can relate to and encourages them to express their feelings. A card game finds commonalities between players and increases the likelihood of friendship and therefore a feeling of belonging. Finally an informative parent’s guide booklet outlines both positive and negative aspects of being a TCK and what they can do to help prevent destructive problems from developing. The parent's guide is a revolving booklet as there are two sides to every story and each negative has a positive and vice versa.
